History
Conrad Petterson a Sports Therapist with more than 20yr history in the Sports and Physical Education industry.
I am From St.Austell, Cornwall, and like most youngsters (of a certain age) played a lot of sport at school (representing primary and secondary school in Football, Rugby, Cricket and Swimming) it was in this last application that I went onto excel. Representing Western County Schools in the National schools competition, as well as swimming and latterly playing Water-Polo for Cornwall in annual Inter-County Galas.
After leaving school in 1981, I went on to further my sporting knowledge by working at a local leisure centre, learning about the leisure industry and all the sports that go with it.
After 3years I found I needed to expand my knowledge further, so in 1985 I joined the R.A.F. as a Physical Training Instructor (PTI). After completing an intensive 6month course (involving 12 national sports (to basic coaching level) circuit training and basic sports injuries I went onto facilitate a number of different aspects of the PTI’s life from maintaining recruit fitness on a large training unit to the health and fitness of a frontline station.
Since leaving the R.A.F. I have completed a Specialist course in Sports Injuries Therapy and Massage to compliment the years of knowledge and experience in keep fit and specialist training in all aspects of sports and fitness, culminating in a complete package of keeping fit, injury evaluation and stabilisation to full fitness training, combining exercise and massage.
I have a structured and traditional approach to fitness and musculo-skeletal issues, using all my experience and knowledge to effect a full and comprehensive package to allow all walks of life, from beginners to elite athletes to benefit.
